Boy’s Sports Camp

Whether you are a varsity athlete, a travel ball competitor, or a backyard champion FCA’s Black Mountain Boys Sports Camp is the place for you! Intense competition, deep community with your fellow athletes, amazing college athlete huddle leaders, challenging teaching, and life changing worship highlight this incredible opportunity. You will leave changed!

Camp Information

$225.00/Camper & Adults
(Non-refundable $100 deposit required at registration)

All unpaid fees are due before check-in at camp. Cancellations can be made as late as the time of on-site check-in by calling the Camp Registrar, Lauren Von Ins, at (864) 940-4079. All fees, EXCEPT A $100 DEPOSIT, will be refunded in August if you cancel your enrollment before July 10th.Substitutions can be made as late as the time of on-site check-in.
 
After camp begins, the entire balance is non-refundable, if you do not attend!

Upon arrival at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, on Friday, July 10th, come to Eureka Hall to complete registration. Camp registration is between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The program officially begins with Dinner at 6:30 p.m.

The following items listed below are needed to complete your registration at check-in:

  • Funds for Remaining Balance
  • Student Permission Waiver Form
  • Blue Ridge Assembly Waiver Form

If you registered online, both waivers are complete. If you did not register online, it is required for the waivers to be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian in order to participate in activities at camp.

Students will not be allowed to participate in camp without them.

Camp housing will not be available until after 4 p.m., Friday, July 10th. The first camp meal is Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. Any housing or meals prior to Friday’s dinner will have to be arranged and paid for by the camper. Please eat lunch before arriving on campus for check-in.

As a 2020 CAMP ENROLLEE, you will receive a campt-shirt, lanyard and FCA Athlete Bible.

  • Modest athletic attire is required during camp. Keep your clothing and any equipment simple. Bring tennis shoes and clothing that you will need for competitions. You will not need cleats.
  • You will need to bring a sleeping bag or sheets & a blanket for a single mattress, pillow, pillowcase, bug spray, towels, washcloths, soap and an alarm clock.
  • You may want to bring your own water bottle, small backpack, and sun block.
  • A notebook and pen or pencil will be helpful as well.
  • Do not bring jewelry, iPods, video games, or other expensive items that you don’t want walking away. FCA is not responsible for any lost or stolen property or merchandise of each camper.

Camp officially ends at 11:45 a.m., after the Camp Picture on Sunday, July 12th. You may pick up your campers at Eureka Hall upon check-out. If you have further questions, please contact the Camp Registrar,  Lauren Von Ins, at (864) 940-4079.

Shopping FCA

Enrollment fees cover all essentials, but you will no doubt want spending money for incidentals and extras such as FCA merchandise. We will be selling snack and some awesome FCA gear. You will not want to miss out on all the great merchandise!

Insurance

FCA will only provide secondary insurance coverage for the camper during the stay at camp. In case of injury or illness, campers will need to provide proof of insurance coverage at the time of treatment via their permission waivers. Campers not covered by family insurance will be cared for.

From I-40 East: Take exit 64 for Black Mountain/Montreat. Turn right at bottom of ramp. Take Highway 9 South past Ingles Market to the fork in the road and veer right on to Blue Ridge Road. Drive .9 miles and turn left at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly sign onto Blue Ridge Assembly Rd. Proceed to the end of the road and our entrance. From US 70/Tunnel Road: Head east towards Black Mountain. Across from Health Ridge Pharmacy turn right onto Blue Ridge Road. Go .5 miles and turn right at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly sign onto Blue Ridge Assembly Road. Proceed to the end of the road and our entrance. Follow signs to Registration/Guest Check-in.

From the east:

We regret to inform you that due to COVID-19 and the continued concerns with exposure and legal accountability that with advice/wisdom of Board of Trustees, Executive Team, Legal and even our insurance provider, FCA as an organization has made a decision to cancel all overnight camps for the months of May, June, July and August.
